50 Days Later And The Samsung Z Fold7 Is Still Replacing My iPhone
Has Apple already missed the foldable boat?
It’s been nearly two months since I first got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, and I can confirm that it is, at the time of writing, the best foldable phone on the market.
The Honor Magic V5 comes mightily close, but Samsung’s effort wins the day for me. Just.
As a result, it has remained my secondary phone for much longer than most review units do. More tellingly, I’m picking it up far more often than my iPhone.
I’ve thought long and hard about what this means for the iPhone and why the Z Fold7 has such a hold over me, and I think I have the answers.
But, first, a little clarification.
I STILL HAVE AN IPHONE!
The phone that currently houses my main SIM card is an iPhone 16e. That will change soon, but Apple’s base model blower has been a great steed for me. It’s light, small, has a great battery, and gets the job done.
It’s just rather boring.
