How Does Nothing Do This?
The CMF Phone 2 is unbelievable
If you’re wondering what CMF stands for, it’s ‘Colour, Material and Finish’, and if you’re wondering what it is in the world of smartphones, it’s the budget arm of Nothing.
And you really should know about it.
The CMF brand was officially launched in September 2023 with some earbuds, a watch, and a 65W GaN charger (no, really). In 2024, the first CMF phone arrived, and it was called, predictably, the Phone 1. Hey, this is Nothing, after all.
I didn’t review the CMF Phone 1, but I did get to play with it briefly last year and couldn’t get over how it offered so much for a starting price of just £209. The most you could spend on that thing was £239. Which is still basically nothing, in smartphone terms.
Sorry, these inadvertent puns are unavoidable.
Now, we have the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It’s a bit more expensive than its predecessor, and it has the word ‘Pro’ in its name. It’s joined by a bunch of new earbud products, which, on the face of it, also follow the CMF mantra in terms of budget price-busting feature sets.
