I agree with your first paragraph. However, I don't think the question is about whether or not this first headset is worth the money or social acceptable - it's not intended to be either.

Vision Pro feels like an elaborate, publicly available developer unit. The key here, is where Apple takes this over the next few years. For people to adopt spatial computing, the tech needs to reduce in size, significantly - that's the key. Everything else follows.
