Now That Google Has MagSafe, Why Buy An iPhone?
Here’s my Google Pixel 10 review!
Last weekend, I switched from my iPhone 16e daily driver to the Google Pixel 10. That’s right — not the 10 Pro or the massive 10 Pro XL — the regular, standard Pixel.
Launched last week and now available for pre-order, the Pixel 10 is designed specifically to compete with Apple’s regular iPhone. At the time of writing, that’s the iPhone 16, although come the 9th September, we’ll have gained our first glimpse at its successor — the iPhone 17 (unless Apple decides to call it the iPhone 26 — you never know).
In a recent video on my Tech Diary channel, I asked the audience if they were thinking of switching from the iPhone to the Pixel this year, and a huge number of people said “yes”. I’m not surprised — on the surface, the Pixel 10 series looks superb, and has one particular feature that appears to remove one of the main reasons people might have for not switching sides.
These are my thoughts on the Pixel 10 and why I think it might be the perfect phone for an awful lot of people.
