We might have to agree to disagree on this one, Marc, but Medium is far more magazine-like when it comes to the content on offer. It's what I love about it; I get to express my opinion. Some people agree, some don't - that's totally cool.
It's my opinion that the lack of ports is the real problem (for me) with the M1 Mac mini (not sure where you're getting the screen thing from - I'm delighted it has got me into the world of ultra-widescreen panels). That's why I chose the headline, for which I'm always responsible.
I think it's important to clear that up, becuase I dislike the term 'clickbait' when it's applied to opinion-based articles like this. There seems to be an assumption by some that us writers are in this to make a quick buck, and I can tell you that absolutely isn't the case for most of us; we want to build influence and build an audience - it's why for every disagreement I encounter on here, there are many more who clap the article - the numbers speak for themselves.
I absolutely want people to click through and read, whether they end up agreeing or disagreeing, and the headline is always tuned to make it stand out - that's standard practice for any kind of content.
